Jeda the Cat & Snow in Rakaia

Jeda having fun with the tape from my Glue Gun.

The amazing show fall in June 2006 in Rakaia, first photos
taken at 5am on the Monday morning & again at 5pm that evening.

It has taken 39 years for me to experience a good snow fall, since being in NZ.
Had to wait till we moved to the South Island to live to get the snow.
Oh the memories that it brought with it of childhood days, using the metal
trays from the kitchen & going to the back of Shandon Park Golf Course
to slide down the snowy slopes. Having snowball fights, oh what fun.
My last Christmas in Belfast, NI 1966 was a white one & I had a
great snowball fight with the local paper boys & one
of our neightbours, even got a blood nose out of that fight.
Although I see the snow on the mountains during winter, I hope
we do get a decent dumping again.
