May 2013

I can hardly believe that it is been almost a year since my last blog entry.  Many quilts & quilting projects have been completed, but still at least 8 tops to finish.  The beginning of this year saw a complete change for me.  I got into embellishing wall hangings & landscape quilts.  Love the pathway as it lends itself to more creativity & lead me in a buying spree of sequins, buttons & other types of embellishment that  fit the project.

Since  April all sewing has been put aside as the need for cards, cards & more cards was urgently need. I think I have made in the region of 40 - 50, plus covered notebooks, post-it pads & jotters.  It has been really good getting my hand back into the card making, knowing that there are people out there that enjoy receiving them.

The quilt that my DH commission for latest Grandson last year got finished & got given to him on Christmas day as did another quilt get given to the youngest Granddaughter .I will try & post some of the finished projects over the next week or two.
Autumn Wall hanging. Looks much better now than when this photo was taken
as more embellishments have been added.

Need to turn this anti-clock wise to see it properly.
Lots more work has gone into this wall hanging since photo was taken.
 My City Scape.

Love Blooms in Spring Wallhanging. look at it sideways.
